Authors ask this question all the time -- why do I need an editor?
As a published author & working with the literary industry for over 20 years, I have seen the results of edited & UN-edited books. Investing in an editor is one of the best things you can do before publishing/printing your book. Here's 3 reasons why:
1 - Editors provide a 2nd set of eyes & another perspective that you may not see. A skilled editor will spot those things such as flow & continuity of the words which may make a huge difference in helping you express your thoughts/ideas
2 - Editors save you so much time! Their eyes see words much different and this allows them to move swiftly through your manuscript and assist with proofreading, grammatical changes & more. They can also help you solve a problem you may have been stuck on for awhile.
3 - You may be an amazing writer & even the BEST writers know the importance of always striving to be better & continue improving their craft. An editor can provide suggestions on word usage, structural/layout advice and even provide other strategies to be sure your vision comes to life just as you want it.
