Was it something I said??

Updated: Nov 21, 2021

How many times have you said something the wrong way and you wish you could take it back? Have you ever remained silent when you should have spoken up? Have you been the one who flew off the handle when you most likely could have said it totally different?

Effective communication is not easy, but it is not impossible. It just takes a bit more time, intentional effort and a willing heart. Put those together and you stand a pretty good chance at sending and receiving messages during your conversation!

As a Communication coach, I work with many people from many backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs on what communication is, how it should be done and who should do the communicating. By the end of a session, clients are laughing hysterically at how they communicated at the beginning of our meeting compared to their new understanding of communication at the end of the meeting.

We don't want communication chaos!

We have to take care to be careful of not just what we say but HOW we say it also. Body language, eye gaze, and tone of voice are all critical to how we send & receive messages. In order to be effective when we have a conversation with someone, it is important to pay attention to not only the other person's body language but we have to be extremely aware of OUR body stance and eye gaze. Our tone of voice is also a key factor.

In my book, Say It Right, we cover these topics and more! Get your copy today!
